Carter's Nursery (Room)

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

I think now that Carter's 16 months his "nursery" is really now his "room."

This has been a work in progress since I was about 20 weeks pregnant!  It's funny, when you're pregnant you are so into decorating the nursery and then the baby comes home and you don't step foot in there for months!

When he started sleeping in there (at 4 months) we had it pretty much together.  But then he started growing up and things had to change and be baby-proofed!  And before you know it, I'll be ordering him big-boy bedding.

So here are just a few pics of the latest version of Carter's room.

look who's in the corner reading?!?!

I really want to get a picture when the room darkening shades aren't showing, but I'm not sure when that will happen so this has to do until then!
His name above his bed:  I couldn't justify $18 per letter from Anthropologie so I went the budget way with $1.99 (on sale) letters and $1.20 bottle of Martha Stewart silver paint!  This project cost $13.20.  Thank you Jo-Ann fabrics and Pinterest for the idea!  Oh and Command Strips are the best!  No holes in the wall and super sturdy!

  1. What a cute room!! I was thinking about how "important" I thought the nursery was until he was born...then it turned into a much more functional room and less of a "staged" room. Great job!
