Happy New Year!

Happy new year!

We ended 2015 with Reid and my first trip to Urgent Care and Reid's first ear infection.  He was super fussy, hadn't had a good nap in days, and even though he only had a cold when we went to the pediatrician on 12/26 we thought maybe now it had turned into an ear infection.  He screamed all morning, but when we got to Urgent Care he was smiling and talking.

We got a prescription but I called the pediatrician to talk about it since Carter had a terrible rash when he went on Amoxicillin.  Luckily Reid hasn't had a reaction, yet!

After an early bedtime for the boys Christian and I went to my friend, Lauren's house for a party!  It was a fun night!

We did wishing papers---which were so cool!  You can tell everyone was amazed as we lit the papers with our wishes and they floated in the air!  Definitely going to be a tradition for years to come!
We got home just before midnight so my parents could drive home.  Reid slept all night, but I was wide awake and hardly slept.  ugh- that's the worst!  On New year's day we took down our Christmas tree, and later went to my parent's for new year's day dinner,  But it was a rough day.  Reid was super fussy and hardly napped.

This ear infection is no joke- he continues to be very fussy and can not nap.  Today we celebrated my dad's 75th birthday with our favorite tradition that my mom makes, Ina's Beef Bourguignon.

I'm looking forward to 2016.  Big changes may be in store and I am looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds.

  2. Sorry Reid had such a terrible time with his ear infection. I hope the antibiotics take care of the infection soon so that he can get back to a normal day and his smile returns. My son recently had a similar infection, which took several weeks to disappear. Just monitor his temperature in case the infection worsens. Hope he gets better!
